Kings Hill FC Named Kent FA Grassroots Club of the Year at the 2025 Kent FA Awards

Kings Hill FC is celebrating after being named Kent FA Grassroots Club of the Year at the 2025 Kent FA Awards, held at the Village Hotel in Maidstone and proudly supported by Ballerz.

The award recognises the club’s continued growth and commitment to offering inclusive, high-quality football opportunities for players of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. With over 900 players and 74 teams set to take the field in the 2025/26 season across male, female, and disability football, Kings Hill FC has become one of the largest and most progressive grassroots clubs in the region.

Chairman Andrew Boxer was in attendance at the ceremony and paid tribute to the volunteers, coaches and families that form the heart of the club.

“This award belongs to everyone involved in the club,” said Andrew Boxer. “It reflects the time, energy and passion that so many people give every single week; whether it’s setting up pitches, coaching, organising fixtures or simply making sure players arrive with a smile on their face. It’s fantastic to see all of that recognised.“

The evening brought further success for Kings Hill FC as Andrius Alciauskas was named New Volunteer of the Year, a well-earned tribute to the enthusiasm and commitment he’s brought to the club since joining the volunteer team. Kings Hill was also proud to have three other club members shortlisted in different categories, showcasing the depth of contribution across the club’s growing community.

“We’re really proud of Andrius,” added Boxer. “It’s people like him who keep grassroots football going stepping up, getting involved, and making a difference. His award is a great example of what’s possible when you put your hand up to help.”

The club is always looking for new volunteers to join the team whether in coaching, administration, welfare, matchday support or simply lending a hand here and there.

“We’ve achieved a lot, but there’s always more we can do,” said Boxer. “If you’re a parent, supporter or ex-player thinking about getting involved, now is a great time. Who knows next year it could be you picking up a volunteer award!”
