NRG 24 Hour Gym Kent County Football League – Premier Division
Kings Hill 0 v 0 Long Lane
Our men’s 1st team got their Premier Division campaign underway with a hard earned point against fellow newly promoted side Long Lane FC. In front of a crowd of 130, it was a game of few chances where both teams played good football without finding the cutting edge to take all 3 points. Both teams hit the woodwork and had goalmouth scrambles that were not converted into goals leaving honours even. A draw was a fair result and both teams will go into their midweek fixtures with a point on the board.

Speaking about the team’s performance, Team Manager Patrick Lee said:
“It was great to get back to the thick of it after pre season, the boys have been superb throughout with some challenges for us as a group with some Step 6 opposition.
Overall I think a draw was a fair reflection of the game vs Long Lane, I think we created some good chances to win the game but didn’t dominate enough, Long Lane also had a couple of chances to get a goal also so thats something for us to look at in the analysis before Wednesdays game.
It was brilliant to see the boys back in league action and a brilliant crowd again to start of our league season, plenty of games to go in August so we need to work hard as management to make sure we prepare the players correctly for every challenge we face as we try to reach our targets for the month.
We move to Aylesford who were promoted alongside us from the Kent Div 1 at home on Wednesday night, we’d love to see plenty of supporters there giving us an extra push through the game!“
