MEN’S 1^st Team

Our men’s 1st team was formed in 2013 and rapidly rose through the Kent County League divisions to Premier Division status. During both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons Covid impacted strong title challenges. Current manager Patrick (Patch) Lee took over as manager for the 2021/22 season and his entertaining style of play brought silverware in his first season, winning the club’s highest honour to date, the Kent Intermediate Challenge Shield. The following season brought an unfortunate relegation but a gradual rebuild of the squad led to promotion back to the Premier Division in the 2024/25 season, going the whole season unbeaten at home in the league. The squad are excited and ready for the challenge of what will no doubt be an extremely competitive Premier Division in 2025/26.

The team aims to be the hardest working and most possession dominant team, mixing an attacking style of football and a system which the entire club wants to try to replicate, whilst adding the necessary desire and structure for this to deliver results. It is extremely important for the team to support the development of our young players into adult football and we are delighted to see various examples of our club youngsters progressing into the first team squad.

Our overarching aim for the 1st team is to progress within the non-league pyramid system, with development both on and off the pitch to support a team at Step 5 football, which would enable entry into both the FA Cup and FA Vase. Whilst there is still lots to do in this regard we are determined that the club should have the infrastructure, and that the team has the ability, to eventually support this.
The growing support for the team at the Sports Park on Saturday afternoons is truly appreciated and makes a huge difference, we look forward to seeing strong support again through 2025/26.
