About the Team
The Kings Hill U10 Rangers are a close-knit, hard-working group who play with energy, enthusiasm and real togetherness. Evolving from last season’s U8 Mustangs, the Rangers have carried their momentum into a new campaign, welcoming fresh faces, bonding quickly and showing how resilient they can be.
Last year brought impressive progress, with strong runs to the quarter-finals of the Kings Hill Tournament and the semi-finals of the King of the Town Tournament. Those performances reflected the team’s growing confidence and skill; they were just shy of the finals and are hungry to go one better this season.

Every player is encouraged to express themselves on the ball, support team-mates and enjoy the game. The Rangers value effort, attitude and respect, on and off the pitch, and they are a pleasure to coach. With the league now under way, the group looks settled, united and excited for what lies ahead.
Team Philosophy: “Positive, brave, and together.”
We believe in a positive, inclusive environment where every player feels valued. Training focuses on core skills, teamwork and resilience, with sessions that balance organised learning and fun. We want our players to learn from mistakes, celebrate progress and develop the confidence to try new things, building habits that help in football and in life.

I’m so proud to be managing the U8 mustangs for the past year who have now been changed to the U9 Rangers, I’m glad to be part of this for the second year running. The development of the boys over the last year has been amazing to watch, they have all grown in confidence, learnt new skills and all developed a lot in the year. They are so resilient and really are a great team, the boys work together, are all very passionate about football and are a pleasure to manage and coach. Getting through the quarter finals in the Kings Hill tournament and the semi finals in the King of the Town tournament, this was amazing to see how much the boys have improved over the year and it was just unfortunate they didn’t quite make the final, but we have this to aim for next season. Unfortunately we lost a few very talented players at the end of the season, but we have recruited some new boys and we are excited to see how our season goes. They have already settled in well, with our league now underway it has been great to see the team bond together and we are excited to see what this season holds with the team and I’m sure we are going to have a great season!

Coach
Sam Hartridge
I’ve been coaching and managing a number of teams at Kings Hill FC for the past four seasons, working with both of my sons’ teams, while also supporting the club as Vice Chairman for Non-Competitive Football (U5–U11). This season, I’m proud to be coaching the U9 Rangers for the first time. This team are a fantastic group of young players full of energy, enthusiasm, and bags of potential.
My coaching philosophy has always been rooted in creating a positive, inclusive, and fun environment where every player feels valued and encouraged to grow. At this young age, it’s all about building confidence, developing core skills, and embracing a love for the game. I believe football should be a place where kids learn teamwork, resilience, and respect, while, most importantly, having a great time doing it.
I focus on helping each player discover their strengths, learn from their mistakes, and celebrate their progress. Whether that’s mastering a new skill, working well with teammates, or showing great effort. I aim to strike a balance between structured learning fun, so that every session is something the players look forward to.
As a coach and a parent, I understand the importance of creating a safe and encouraging space where children can thrive. I’m passionate about helping young players build a strong foundation, not just in football, but in life skills that will serve them well beyond the pitch.
It’s a privilege to help guide these young players on the next phase of their football journey, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together this season.
