Football Philosophy
Our primary objective is for the boys to enjoy playing football. We are all of the mindset that growth and development flourishes when people are in a safe and enjoyable environment and this extends to all walks of life, but in this case with youth football. We pride ourselves on developing the whole player from mental attitude, technical ability to human qualities such as being polite and well mannered. We view the football coaching as an extension of the work that both schools and parents undertake with the boys and look to compliment this. Our vision is to make each of the boys who we work with, the very best version of themselves.
In terms of coaching we encourage risk taking and independent learning/discovery. We facilitate the boys own personal growth and development by preparing engaging sessions that rely on the boys contributing to their own learning and progress. We want the boys to understand the why in what they are doing so that they are aware of the bigger picture and how it all fits in.
We are completely inclusive and transparent and look to communicate all decisions, ideas and visions with both the boys and their parents/carers.

Scott Mann
As the team manager my primary aim is to facilitate the smooth running of the team. Organising matches, tournament entry, booking referees, training and communicating with the parents, coaches and players. Having played football from a young age into adulthood I first started managing the now Kings Hill Reserve team back in 2003 and stepped down in 2009 to pursue other ambitions. After starting a family, my son joined KHFC at the age of 6 and I wanted to help coach. Coaching from U6 to date has proved more rewarding than any coaching so far. Seeing our teams develop and the kids mature over the seasons has been a great motivator. As well as managing and coaching I am also an active member of the Executive committee sitting as the Treasurer for KHFC. I firmly believe that coaches and staff within the club will help develop and shape the attitudes of our Children in the future and we have a big role to play in making sure this is a positive and respectful one.

As a team coach, my role is to support the team manager in the smooth running of the team. My primary focus is to help develop the players and team, during training and tactically at matches. Having been a Team manager at U8 and U9, I understand the role the team manager has and the support required from the coaching team. I have a passion for football and my approach is based around possession football. My coaching style is thus developing confidence and bravery to play with the ball. Seeing players and the team develop through the season it the best reward for me as a coach. I am excited to being part of a U11 Colts team
