U9 FC

It’s been a real privilege to coach this fantastic group of boys. Week in and week out they’re stepping up and playing at the highest level for their age group, regularly facing some of the toughest opposition out there. What’s impressed me most is how they continue to rise to the challenge. They’re not just competing they are working hard learning from every match and constantly improving as individuals and as a team.

Over the season their progress has been incredible to watch. Technically and tactically they’ve grown but it’s their teamwork and resilience that really stand out. They support each other on and off the pitch, push themselves in training and give everything in matches – exactly what you want to see in young footballers.

What’s just as important is that they’re enjoying it. The energy and enthusiasm they bring to every session is infectious. They’re a real handful at times full of personality, laughs and the kind of spirit that reminds you why grassroots football is so special. They’ve built strong friendships, learned how to dig deep when it gets tough and they’re always smiling (even after tough defeat or a long training session in the rain!).

The journey this season has been about more than just results it’s been about growth, learning and having fun along the way. I couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them for the effort, character and heart they’ve shown. They represent Kings Hill FC brilliantly and I’m excited to see what next season brings.
